Lt. Governor's Statement on Governor Deal's State of the State Address

ATLANTA- Lt. Governor Casey Cagle today released the following statement in response to Governor Deal’s State of the State Address.

“I applaud Governor Deal’s solid focus on the issues that are important to Georgians- creating jobs in the private sector, strengthening our state’s education system, and ensuring our state has access to a reliable, quality water supply.  By looking for efficiencies in government and making cuts where appropriate, we can ensure that our state’s most critical priorities – economic development, education, and public safety – are appropriately funded, even in these challenging economic times.  While some of the decisions we face may not be easy, I look forward to working with Governor Deal, Speaker Ralston, and our colleagues in the legislature to make the wise choices that will move our state forward.”
